My Kansas City Business Website Is Awesome. But nobody calls me from it?
- As the owner of your company you just know you have an awesome Kansas City Web design.
- You are getting lots of visitors to your Website because you are using Google Analytics, and you can see the number of people coming to your site per month.
- Your product or service is way better than your competitors.
So you know all these things, but what you don’t understand is why your phone isn’t ringing off the hook.
Well, assuming you haven’t made some social media blunder, and people just don’t like your company, then the answer probably has to do with the fact that your Website is not as awesome as you feel it is.
Here’s probably the best way to evaluate the awesomeness of your Website.
Step Number 1. Turn off your computer monitor and don’t look at your Website. (yep!)
Step Number 2. Get all your sales staff in a room and document all the reasons over the last year why the people who bought your product or services chose your company.
Step Number 3. Summarize the list created in step #2 into short sales reasons. For example:
- In business for over 50 years
- Lowest prices in town
- Money back guarantee
- Seen the quality of our work
- Friendly sales staff
- Quick response to my call
- Saw your truck in my neighborhood
- Veteran discount
- Senior discount
- Open 24 X 7
- You did work for another large company
- So and so said your company was awesome
- Best quality of service
Step Number 4. Turn your monitor back on and look at the home page of your Web site. How many of the applicable items in your list are on the home page in large, visual representations? I’m not talking about words stuck in the middle of a paragraph. I’m talking about buttons, bold imagery, large text where the eye is drawn to, coupon images, maps, logos, testimonials, etc.
As you complete the steps above, consider this. Business owners all the time come to me saying…“If I can just get them on the phone I can make the sale”.
So ask yourself this. If you can get the sale when you’re talking to them on the phone, why don’t you put all those same sales reasons right out in front on your Website?
In order to get more clients, do some quick Kansas City Web Design maintenance and make the home page say the same messages that you tell people when you are talking to them on the phone.
Do these things and you will get more customers from your awesome Website.
