Three Great Reasons You Should Be Using Free Google Analytics For Your Kansas City WordPress Web Design
There are three very good reasons you should be using Google Analytics on your Kansas City WordPress Web design.
Actually there are four reasons, but the fourth one is just good business common sense, so I’ll list it first.
Benefit # 4 – It’s FREE!!!!
Yep! Just go to Google and type in Google Analytics. Walk thru the steps to set up a free Google Analytics account. Once you’re in your account, select and Copy the code they give you. Open your WordPress Website dashboard, find the location in your theme to Paste the code. (usually, “Appearance -Site Options”).
That’s all there is to it. From that point forward you too can be reaping the following three benefits of using Google Analytics for your Kansas City WordPress Web Design. Without further adieu, here are what I feel are three of the most important benefits of using Google Analytics.
Benefit # 1 – – Visitor Statistics
- You can tell how many people are visiting your Website? (Users)
- You can tell how many pages they are going to? (Pages/Sessions)
- You can tell how long they are staying on your Website? (Avg Session Duration)
- You can how many site visitors have been to your site before (Pie Chart)
On just one screen you can have all this information, for any date range, right at your fingertips. Remember it’s all free. Awesome!!!
FYI – Bounce Rate refers to the percentage of people who leave your Web site after just visiting your home page. There is no one size fits all Bounce Rate. If you are in the carpet cleaning business, most potential clients would get your phone number, or contact information from your home page, and then leave your site to call you. They probably aren’t cruising all over your site. Now, on the flip side, if you’re a home staging company, then potential customers are probably going to cruise all over your site looking at example homes you’ve staged. Your bounce rate will be much lower. It all depends on the purpose of your site and your potential customers.
Benefit # 2 – – Marketing Effectiveness
On the following Google Analytics screen, it is possible to indirectly see how effective your marketing efforts have been. For example, if you sent out 1,000 post cards in the mail, telling potential customers to visit your Website and get a 25 percent off coupon. In this case, about a week after the postcard was mailed, you should see a huge spike in the “Direct” piece of the pie. Direct is where the person went to a browser and typed in your Web site URL (www.kcwebspecialists.com)
Each piece of the pie represents the marketing channel where people came to your site from. If you are spending hours and hours on social media, directing people to your Website. Hopefully that piece of the pie is larger than others.
Benefit # 3 – – Mobile Users
Having a responsive / mobile Kansas City Web site design is very important to Google now-a-days. But, before you spend a lot of money working over your Website to make it more responsive, wouldn’t it be nice to know what percentage of the people visiting your Web site are actually doing so from a Mobile Web Site Design?
Within Google Analytics it’s as simple as clicking on the Mobile Overview menu. In the screen shot below, you can see that only 7.5 percent of the people visiting my Website over the last two years have come to it from either a Tablet or Mobile device. Yes, I do have a mobile/responsive Website, but I don’t spend a disproportionate amount of my annual Website development budget on it.
You should always be monitoring your mobile usage percentages and make online marketing decisions accordingly.

I am very concerned about all the 5 star feedback.I was in the process of writing unfavorable feedback and they tried... to offer discounts. I did not accept this. Rather, I am going to state the honest truth. Other businesses need to know. You set aside a certain budget for web development and you think you are going to stay within that budget. Not a chance. I blew my budget beyond belief. They were "nickling and diming" me. I had no choice as I already paid a large deposit. Please continue reading this feedback.Right away we had problems with the website after it went live. From the website functions, to email, links, etc. The cost of not having a fully functional website as promised cost us dearly. After the site went live, they referred me to their technical support team. In some cases, I would email very simple yes/no questions. One liners that were truly yes/no questions. For their technical team to respond, they charged me a minimum of 15-30 minutes at $80-$90/hour. Well over $150k a year. "It takes time for them to investigate"...I was told. Anytime I would ask questions regarding issues...and I had plenty as there were so many things wrong with the website that should have been fixed prior to my site going live, I was being charged $80-$90/hour. Usually it was a lot more than that. When it was all said and done...and after all the "technical support" fees, I would have been much better off going with a more expensive web developer.Not to mention the thousands of dollars it cost my company a partial website.This is the honest feedback.....other businesses NEED TO know. They will likely try to contact me to remove this post but I shall not. Small mom and pop shops need to know. Small businesses need to know that have limited budgets.Having said this, I ask that KC Web specialist NOT contact me in anyway shape or form. It will be reported.
