July 22nd Weekly Development Meeting
Sean and I discussed the number counter thing you found on Pyramid Roofing. We know how they did it and can replicate if needed. We noticed that on their site they have a bar around the circle also indicate the value. We both thought this didn’t work well for what they were showing stats for since no one knows what 100% of the circle would be.
We also discussed KC Web’s site and Sean brought up some points about the form and how there are at least 8 fields that have to be filled out and that it might prevent some from doing so. He suggested that instead we break it up and make it more interactive with slides/pages.
- How Can We Help? Choices: Web Design, SEO, Social Meida (would be buttons or circles).

- Thanks for your interest in…. someone will be in touch with you soon!
By breaking it up it doesn’t seem like a big form and it’s more interactive for the viewer. Getting only three pieces of information you get the lead and can gather further details once you contact them.
The other thing we discussed about the site is the design itself. We feel that we should take our own site and make it like a client with one of our own packages (a new site basically every year to keep it current). Our site should be the best and showcase several things we can do. Right now it seems like our site is a bit out dated in areas and doesn’t look as crisp and clean. The news section in the bottom is old, the most recent thing is from 2014 and goes back to 2010! This information could be posted as blogs (backed dated) which would be archived or could go on an about page. To replace the section we feel it would be best if it was more about the current blogs, Sean is creating images for each blog so we could also have an image show. Attached is more along the ideas we had (it’s from MickiD site we are working on).
I told Sean I’d check with you to see if you’d allow us to spend part of our time each week coming up with ideas on how to improve the company site and then once we have a new layout figured out we can design it and then implement it. This process would probably take several weeks to complete. I think we need to overhaul the site and have it setup with a cleaner look and code.
