September 2nd Development Meeting
Sean and I talked about the new page I create for the Website Process, he liked what I had done and thought it would help him a lot remember what steps to take when making a website. We reviewed the steps to make sure he understood what I had written.
We talked about My Saver site he’s working on. I provide some feedback and then he asked a few questions about how I’d do certain things. He also brought up concern over the high priority of the project and the lack of information in the New Client Form. In reviewing the NCF it is lacking quite a bit of details which does make it hard especially when the project is a high priority. As developers we can only go by what’s given so for a high priority project it should have lots of details so that it can get done quickly, otherwise time gets wasted having to go back to find out what to do.
I showed Sean the work I did on JMC with the angled edges, he immediately noticed them and thought they looked neat. I told him how they were done with just CSS and that I had to spend a bit of time making them responsive. The example site given for that project had the unique blog setup where the image and content alternate. I noticed on that example site when on mobile the image goes below the content when it’s on the right. Sean and I both agreed that it really should be setup so the image stays above the content when on mobile. I’ll adjust that on JMC to respond like we think it should verses how the example site worked.
