Website Development Services: What Are They?
“Website development services” refers to all of the work that a skilled programmer does to create and build dynamic websites and applications. These services include web design, publishing, programming, maintenance, and database management.
Web design usually refers to the user experience (UX) elements of website development as opposed to software development. Web design includes the appearance, layout, and, in some cases, content of a website. Strong web design is simple and intuitive to use, aesthetically pleasing, consistent with your company/product branding, and appeals to your target demographics. Making the website appear as desired and load quickly requires programming.
Arguably the most important skill in website development is programming. The programmer must have a thorough understanding of coding and languages and keep up with current trends and new technology. Web development requires knowledge of one or more coding languages as well as the ability to generate an HTML file, create a CSS file, manipulate layouts and styles, follow industry conventions and trends, and conduct research. This allows them to create the framework for easy publishing.
Web publishing, also known as “online publishing,” refers to publishing content on the internet. It may include creating, uploading, and updating web pages as well as posting blogs. The published content may include text, images, videos, and various other media. All of the content on your website should be regularly reviewed and maintained.
Website maintenance means regularly checking your website for errors and problems, and keeping it relevant and updated. This must be done frequently and consistently in order to keep your website healthy, encourage new traffic, and strengthen your search engine ranking position. Along with maintaining the website, any databases involved must be maintained as well.
Database management is the act of manipulating and controlling data to meet needed conditions throughout the entire data lifecycle. A database management task is any task that protects data, prevents legal and compliance risks, and keeps data-driven applications performing optimally. This includes monitoring and fine-tuning performance, planning for capacity and storage, backup and recovery, archiving data, partitioning data, replication, masking, and retirement.

If you're a small business and need a new website or need to update an old one, this is the company for you! You get... lots of support from real people you can actually talk to in real time as the project progresses. As someone who's not very tech savvy, nor especially wants to be, I couldn't imagine having a better experience with creating my new website than with KC Web Specialists! Who is the crazy competitor who left a weird review is what I want to know 2 year's ago? I would HIGHLY view that as... 'suspect" -based on my own companies dealings with them and Chris. I am very concerned about all the 5 star feedback.I was in the process of writing unfavorable feedback and they tried... to offer discounts. I did not accept this. Rather, I am going to state the honest truth. Other businesses need to know. You set aside a certain budget for web development and you think you are going to stay within that budget. Not a chance. I blew my budget beyond belief. They were "nickling and diming" me. I had no choice as I already paid a large deposit. Please continue reading this feedback.Right away we had problems with the website after it went live. From the website functions, to email, links, etc. The cost of not having a fully functional website as promised cost us dearly. After the site went live, they referred me to their technical support team. In some cases, I would email very simple yes/no questions. One liners that were truly yes/no questions. For their technical team to respond, they charged me a minimum of 15-30 minutes at $80-$90/hour. Well over $150k a year. "It takes time for them to investigate"...I was told. Anytime I would ask questions regarding issues...and I had plenty as there were so many things wrong with the website that should have been fixed prior to my site going live, I was being charged $80-$90/hour. Usually it was a lot more than that. When it was all said and done...and after all the "technical support" fees, I would have been much better off going with a more expensive web developer.Not to mention the thousands of dollars it cost my company a partial website.This is the honest feedback.....other businesses NEED TO know. They will likely try to contact me to remove this post but I shall not. Small mom and pop shops need to know. Small businesses need to know that have limited budgets.Having said this, I ask that KC Web specialist NOT contact me in anyway shape or form. It will be reported. I will not remove this feedback even if you offer a full refund. Absolutely not. Again, I am asking that you not reach out to me or all my business partners.read more
